Getting another notification from Mail.app. with data detectors I can click on dates and times in emails and Calendar can make an appointment, extracting the location and other information from the email. clicking on the location will take us into the Maps app.

OS X used to set aside a static amount of RAM for the GPU, mavericks can dynamically scale based on workload. finally, OpenCL is coming to integrated graphics. it takes tasks that would normally run the CPU, and runs them on the GPU.
Maverick’s optimized “Compressed Memory” system. Next big improvement (still recapping Mavericks): improved graphic support, with a specific focus on integrated graphics.
One of the focuses here is to “fundamentally upgrade your hardware.” Meaning they’re making your device faster and battery better through the software.
The 13-inch MacBook Air gets up to an hour longer web browsing if you install Mavericks, says Craig.
